This short film is inspired by the legend of Raden Ayu Kartini who was a pioneer in the area of education for women's rights. Kartini improved the conditions of indigenous Indonesian women which at the time had a very low social status. Kartini saw that the struggle for women to obtain their freedom, autonomy, and legal equality. Kartini also protested the Javanese cultural tendency to impose obstacles on women's development.
